Data Analysis Diploma (DAD)
Why data analysis matters
Most organisations already hold the data they need, spread across spreadsheets, systems and online tools. When people can frame a business question, clean and model that data, and present the answer in a report decision-makers understand, discussions move from opinion to evidence.
Without these skills, analysis stays locked in a few people's files, figures differ between departments, and charts confuse more than they explain. This programme builds a foundation in analytical thinking and statistics, then hands-on skills in Excel, Power BI, Tableau and Looker Studio, leading to a Transights certificate of completion.
What you will be able to do
- Frame business questions as clear, measurable analysis problems and summarise data with descriptive statistics
- Clean and prepare raw data sets and calculate business metrics with Excel formulas, functions and pivot tables
- Connect Power BI to data sources, shape data with Power Query and build a simple data model
- Select suitable chart types and combine visuals into interactive dashboards in Tableau
- Build, share and maintain web-based reports in Looker Studio
- Present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders to support business decisions
