Supply Chain Framework and Strategy (SCFS)
Why a supply chain framework matters
A supply chain works best when planning, buying, production and delivery are managed as one system rather than as separate departments. With a shared framework, demand plans drive inventory and purchasing, materials planning keeps production supplied, and delivery and customer service are set around what key customers actually need.
Without one, each function optimises its own numbers: stock builds up in one place while shortages appear in another, sourcing decisions ignore downstream needs, and cash is tied up in the wrong inventory. SCFS gives managers and professionals moving into strategic roles a practical view of the upstream and downstream supply chain, leading to a verifiable VCARE Academy certificate valid for life.
