Diploma in Procurement and Supply (CIPS Level 4) (CIPS L4)

The CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply covers the core principles and practice of procuring goods and services across the procurement cycle, from defining the business need to contracting, negotiation, supplier relationships and whole-life asset management. This CIPS-accredited programme covers eight modules in 80 hours over 16 sessions, in class in Cairo, live online, or in-house for your team.
Built around the procurement cycle, covering the core principles and practice of procuring goods and services. It develops skills in contracting, negotiation, supplier relationships, ethics and asset management.

Why professional procurement practice matters

Procurement adds value well before a purchase order is raised. A team that builds a sound business case, specifies requirements clearly, selects suppliers on transparent criteria and negotiates from a prepared position secures the right goods and services at the right whole-life cost, and keeps the organisation compliant across sectors and borders.

When those steps are skipped, weak specifications bring the wrong product, contract clauses fail when they are tested, supplier relationships turn adversarial and assets cost more to own than expected. The CIPS Level 4 Diploma builds the full cycle into everyday practice, through an Ofqual-regulated qualification at first-year undergraduate level that leads to CIPS Diploma membership.

  • Select and appraise suppliers using ESG, financial and market criteria
  • Prepare and conduct commercial negotiations, from objectives and BATNA to closure
